πŸ“Report

As usual, small bass are easy to catch. They're biting a variety of baits on the ends of points and already chasing baitfish into the creeks in some areas. A Dirty Jigs Scott Canterbury Pro Buzzbait with a toad body has been producing a lot of fish, along with ChatterBaits and Whopper Ploppers. Shaky heads will often produce a 50- to 60-bass day, but your best five might not weigh 6 pounds. The water is still a bit warm for crappie fishing, but a few are being caught around the bridge pilings on minnows. Crappie are huddled up around deep brushpiles (15-20 feet) as well, but they've been hard to catch.

🎣Catch Report

Steve Ingram and Beau McCrary won the Wind Creek Bass Trail Tournament on Oct. 11 with 13.10 pounds.
